The replay tool loads your data and can reprocess it into an X-Plane 10 or 11 replay file. In addition (in beta), we have a Windows replay app for replaying the files in Microsoft Flight Simulator FS2020. If there is sufficient demand, X-Plane 12 support will be added soon.
The resulting replays can be used for debriefing your own flights, debriefing solo flights with your instructor, or visualizing an incident for investigation or debrief.
Though it will look better, it is not required to have the specific aircraft model available in your simulation software. The animation will follow the recorded data regardless of the model used.
