Having loaded the flight data, extensive options are available to analyse the flight. This can both be used to analyse your own flying, as well as incident or accident investigation.
Any recorded data can be plotted along a customized graph with multiple axes. Parameters that are not recorded by the EFIS system on the aircraft, can be overridden to enable good incident analysis.
When used for investigating or analysing flights conducted by others, note that flight data provides only what happened as recorded by the systems. It will never explain why, nor will it explain what the pilot(s) perceived at the time. It is a powerful tool for debriefing, but requires training in Just Culture and debriefing techniques to be used properly. Otherwise, the effect can be detrimental to safety!
